students and staff at school.

Keeping children safe is the school’s highest priority and a culture of safeguarding is firmly embedded.

It focuses on the role of staff in identifying and responding to safeguarding concerns, and establishing a safe and learning environment for all children. 

 

​This guidance, also from the DfE, describes the interagency procedures for safeguarding and child protection, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination between schools, social care, the police, and other relevant agencies. It emphasises a child-centered approach and the importance of working with families. 

 

Our recruitment process includes a self-declaration of criminal convictions for all shortlisted applicants, followed by DBS checks and thorough reference checks.

In the interests of student safety and welfare, we follow the MAEPS Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy and have Designated Safeguarding Lead on duty at all times at each site to act upon any reported concerns.
