Reset Hub

The RESET Hub at Moorbridge offers a variety of short-term intervention programmes designed to support mainstream pupils experiencing social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. These programmes focus on developing essential skills such as social interaction, team building, self-confidence, and self-regulation, which can be successfully implemented upon the pupil's return to their mainstream school.

Our experienced staff team is committed to the core values of Respect, Resilience, and Relationships, which underpin all aspects of our work. Through early intervention and a nurturing approach, we strive to help pupils re-integrate into their mainstream settings, equipped with the strategies and confidence they need to thrive.

At the Reset Hub, we recognise that every pupil is unique, with their own set of strengths, challenges, and life experiences. Our curriculum and support services are therefore designed to be highly personalised, addressing the individual needs of each child. This includes regular progress meetings, targeted academic and pastoral interventions, and a strong focus on building positive relationships between pupils, staff, and families.

By fostering a secure and inspiring environment, we empower our pupils to take ownership of their learning and decisions, preparing them for successful transitions back into appropriate educational provisions.

Outreach

The Moorbridge outreach team offers a bespoke range of services to support students in their school.

Moorbridge's outreach services are an integral part of our mission to "Build Bridges for Success." By fostering strong partnerships with schools, families, and the community, we are able to provide a comprehensive support network that empowers our students to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.

At the heart of our outreach services is a commitment to early intervention. We believe that by identifying and addressing challenges at the earliest possible stage, we can prevent escalation and support students in regaining their footing within mainstream education.

First Day Response

When your child is having problems at school, we understand this can be a worrying time for both you and your child. In the past, exclusion from school was often the only alternative, causing disruption to their education and requiring you to make arrangements for their care during the day. At Moorbridge, we offer a First Day Response provision to students at risk of, or as an alternative to, exclusion.

At the heart of our approach is a deep understanding that every child is unique, with their own strengths, challenges, and needs. We provide a personalised learning experience that is tailored to the individual, ensuring they receive the support, guidance, and opportunities they require to succeed.

RESET

The Reset programme is based at our Blanchard Terrace site, next to the Linskill Centre in North Shields. Students attend Reset for two days per week, for a period of six weeks.

During this time, they work on the curriculum provided by their home schools or engage in bespoke activities set by our experienced staff. Our Reset team has extensive experience in supporting young people who are struggling in their educational journeys.

By minimising disruption to their studies and fostering an environment of relationships, resilience, and respect, we aim to help these students regain their footing and successfully reintegrate into their mainstream schools.

6th Day

When a pupil is Permanently Excluded from their mainstream school, we offer a statutory 6th day provision where the pupil will remain until the Permanent Exclusion process is completed.

During this placement, pupils will continue their academic studies, alongside targeted interventions and support, until a new school or placement has been allocated.

Our aim is to ensure a smooth transition and to help the pupil re-engage with their education, fostering the key values of relationships, resilience, and respect.
